A heavily active member of the Indonesian Sports Throwing community, Tarjo Sujatmiko has been both a serious athlete of and advocate for Sports Throwing for eight years. Well known in his own neighborhood as a practitioner of knife throwing and self-defense sports, he has been involved in developing the sport of knife throwing in the community around him, having managed a club and planning to establish several more. Tarjo says he loves all things Sports Throwing, but especially small target practice as it produces the best results in strengthening his skill.
Having discovered the Aim Games in 2019, Tarjo started with K12 and hasn't stopped. He cites Paul Maccarone and our own founder Rick Lemberg as two very influential people in his throwing career, telling us Mr. Maccarone inspires him with his incredible techniques in every video.
Discussing his Aim Games journey, Tarjo tells us “I have to admit from the bottom of my heart, with the Aim Games my life has changed a lot for the better. I like all parts of the Aim Games, but the Superstar Challenge is my favorite, as it requires the very highest concentration”.
Nickname Backstory:
“A few years ago there were people on one of the social media platforms who called me The Dynamite but I didn't use it. Then some time ago people started calling me The Country Man and I use it to this day. This is because I never thought about the prizes or money, I thought more about representing my country in the top 10 of the Aim Games”.
Advice To New Throwers:
“For beginners who want to learn to throw knives and axes, I suggest looking for a quality trainer who has proven training ability and has excelled at events in their respective countries. This is a measured sport that involves building complex skills with serious tools”.
Notable Achievements:
Tarjo holds the highest overall stats in Indonesia for the Aim Games in both the main tournaments and Superstar Challenges. The Country Man has earned 14 Superstars, eleven consecutive top-10 placements from November 2019 to March 2024, six top-3 placements from March 2020 to March 2024, and 1st place victories in 'K16 The Quest', 'H7 The Tunnel' and 'K20 Forest Nightmare'.
