Of the many Aim Games Themed Art Contest entrants hailing from Indonesia, Heru’s participation stands out. Though he clarifies that he is not a professional artist, his talent shows nonetheless, in our art contests and in his work. He explains, “I have loved drawing since childhood. Ever since elementary school, I have been interested in it, but I am not a professional visual artist or painter. I am a biology teacher, and in my teaching, I am often required to draw both the morphology and anatomy of living organisms.” With his extensive experience in creating illustrations, in his career and in the Aim Games, it’s no surprise Heru’s favorite mediums are pencils and watercolors.

One of our longest-standing continuous contestants, Heru has been participating in our art contests since ‘K14: Ultimate Bullseye Challenge’ in 2019. Sharing his thoughts, he tells us “What I find interesting about the Aim Games Themed Art Contests is that I have to think carefully about what I will draw in relation to the theme. This often makes my mind wander in different directions.
