Artist Interview Series

The Aim Games organization is founded on sports activity, its namesake coming from the tournament series on which it was grown. But we have many focuses within the precision sports throwing industry and community, as is reflected in our programmatic structure. We provide avenues for crafts people to earn bulk sales contracts and direct market visibility. We enable throwing venues to boost revenue, business flow and marketing potential through hosting our Aim Games tournaments for their patrons, at no cost to their business. We sponsor live events and support other organization’s humanitarian efforts, but by far our second largest program is our Themed Art Contest Series, its creation inspired by our founder’s long-standing love and support of the visual arts.

Starting in 2017, the Aim Games have since completed eight art contests, each running for around thirty days. Every contest has at least three categories, which are the themes for the following year’s three tournaments. Contestants create 2D, hand drawn or painted artwork that is family friendly and fits the upcoming year’s tournament themes. These works are used to accompany our social media posts and scoresheets and in general be displayed throughout our social media pages, website and merchandise. The program is modeled similarly after the tournaments.  Everyone of all ages is welcome, it is entirely free, there is no submission limit and there are cash awards to be won as well as point boosts in upcoming games. Additionally, anyone can win once in each category, giving the opportunity to compete to earn multiple cash prizes in one contest. Sometimes our contests have bonus categories such as holiday themes. After eight years, the contests have facilitated an enormous collection of incredible illustrations from dozens of participants, giving artists their own platform to earn, grow and contribute to the Aim Games mission of expanding the world of sports throwing.

Just as we celebrate both the talent and the athletes, we celebrate both the art and the artists. All artwork is required to be signed, and credit is given by name throughout public social media posts, in addition to being displayed on our website and on nearly all of the products offered in our online store. As it is our way to highlight star talent within all our programs, we’re connecting the public with our many Themed Art Contest winners in our Highlighted Artist Interview series, revealing insight into their backgrounds and experience as Aim Games art creators. Both our Highlighted Artist Interview series and select contest artwork from previous winners can be found in the “Art and Culture” section of our website.
